A Token of Love

I can't tell you how ridiculously happy I am to be able to cross stitch again after about 6 years of not being able to see well enough to even work on 14ct.

After my second cataract op. I tried a bit of a WIP that's been lingering and realised that it's now something I can do (not something I've had to give up ou!) I got rid of a lot of my floss and patterns, but did keep a few bits.

But.... then I fell down the Long dog rabbit hole and fell in love with them all over again. I just had to buy The Token and personalise it for our son who sprang a surprise wedding on us this spring. There would have been no chance of me tackling this then, but now I'm raring to go. After dithering over colours for almost a week I finally made a decision (largely thanks to good advice from Helen!) and now, I'm off....

I'm using Pompey Tides from KLT Charting and it feels like just the right colour to me.

    1. Thank you Rachael :) I'm truly loving it. Got a bit more done now, will try to post another picture tomorrow or Friday.

  2. I do love that floss and you'd basically made the decision before I stuck my nose in! Really looking forward to seeing this piece progress.

    1. Oooh, I hadn't Helen - it was definitely going to be green....! :). By the way, the lady also sells it as 'knotty thread' Same length but will have a knot or two. Only 98p/8m - a really good buy.

How much is that doggie jumper in the window...

I can't remember if I've told you, but I'm part of a group that knits, crochets or sews items to sell for mental health chariti...
