Oh Dear!

I've just discovered that Long dog charts are now available in .pdf format - I expect most others are, now, too. I'm thinking of maybe having a go at one of their Peccadilloes...

It's so long since I bought a chart, that most of mine, apart from on line freebies,  were paper ones. This opens up a whole new world to me, having the ability to increase the size, zoom in and out.

The other thing that is new to me is the glorious range of different threads - some of my old favourites, like six Strand Sweets, are no more, but my goodness, there are some lovely ones around now.

I'm determined to get more stitching done, just for fun, as well as use up a bunch of my stash knitting yarn. The current knitting project is a baby blanket to complete a box full of newborn things.

Off on a bit of a tangent - what pages do you think would be useful to add?

Ading a picture of my best litle boy, just to make it more interesting.

  1. I'd have to print the .pdf, otherwise I'd be taking off and putting on my glasses continuously!

What exactly are pages? How do we use them?

We definitely need a pets post :-)

    1. Pages are where you can 'keep' things in categories; maybe if we did a SAL, wanted to have a place for our FOs or keep a 'to do' list , we could add pages for them..

    2. Ok, that makes sense. Will have a think - maybe a page for book recommendations?

  3. Yes Long Dogs most definitely are available in PDF 😃 I use an app to mark off my progress which has been a huge help! I have three Long Dogs on the go, one of those being the little purple piece which is a peccadillo 😊

I ummed and ahhed about bringing my laptop with me this weekend but decided I didn’t need it, silly me, would have made navigating this easier 😆 Not too bad on the iPad though, I will attempt my own post in a bit 🤞

I had forgotten about Six Strand Sweets, they were lovely weren’t they! Yes lots of other beautiful alternatives around now though, I’m hoping to have at least twenty years stitching left in me so I can try a lot of things out!

    1. That sounds like a good plan, Jo! I honestly thought I would never be able to get back to stitching, so this feels like a real treat :)
