Actual purple cross stitch 😀

I couldn’t resist adding my little purple piece here as it’s the only purple based project I have on the go 😆 I plan to stitch Indiscretion by Long Dog Samplers by the end of summer. I am stitching on a lovely piece of printed aida from Zoe's Gifts ‘N’ Crafts with DMC 550

Oh Dear!

 I've just discovered that Long dog charts are now available in .pdf format - I expect most others are, now, too. I'm thinking of maybe having a go at one of their Peccadilloes...

It's so long since I bought a chart, that most of mine, apart from on line freebies,  were paper ones. This opens up a whole new world to me, having the ability to increase the size, zoom in and out.  

The other thing that is new to me is the glorious range of different threads - some of my old favourites, like six Strand Sweets, are no more, but my goodness, there are some lovely ones around now.

I'm determined to get more stitching done, just for fun, as well as use up a bunch of my stash knitting yarn. The current knitting project is a baby blanket to complete a box full of newborn things. 

Off on a bit of a tangent - what pages do you think would be useful to add?

Ading a picture of my best litle boy, just to make it more interesting.

Starting things off

 I'm hoping this might work well as a way for us to share projects, ideas and FOs, encourage each other, and maybe even get back to the occasional SAL

Just to add a bit of colour, this is the blackwork piece I'm working on.

Posting today instead of tomorrow as I've finished the first section! Thank you to the three of you for the inspiration and encouragement! There'll be very little done in the next couple of weeks as I'll be sitting in front of the TV from 11am until 8ish, watching Wimbledon 😁
